Bus Ministry

Our bus ministry reaches out to help those who need a ride to church. These are people who otherwise would have not been able to receive the ministry care they needed. Bus ministry team members dedicate their lives to caring about people and sharing the good news of Jesus Christ. “Then the Master said to the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges and compel them to come in, that My house may be filled.”-Luke 14:23

Our Bus Ministry provides transportation each week to the following services:

• Sundays at 10:30 a.m.
• Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m.

If you need transportation, bus schedules are available at the Welcome Center at church, or call (270) 683-4200 for schedule information.

Clothes Closet

This ministry fulfills one of the commands of Jesus to clothe the naked. We have clothes for all ages and all seasons.

Counseling

Although Church Alive does not employ professional counselors, staff members are available to offer assistance from the Word of God in English or Spanish. While we know that the best counsel is available while attending regular church services and listening to the teaching of God’s Word, sometimes one-on-one sessions are a necessity.

Food Pantry

As a result of the generous giving of the Church Alive church family and donations from other organizations and businesses, needy families are provided with much needed food and also spiritual encouragement. Jeff & Brenda Jeffrey, our Food Pantry directors, have devoted much of their lives to meeting the needs of the hungry.

To receive food at Church Alive, simply visit one of our regular adult services where a staff member can help you and arrange for you to receive free food after the service has ended.

Funerals

Prayer support and compassion are our first responses to families who have lost loved ones. We also make our Pastoral staff available to conduct funeral services for church members and their immediate family. Call our church office at (270) 683-4200 if we can serve you in this area, or if you are in need of more information.

Hospital Ministry

Prayer Partners are eager to share the Word of God concerning health and healing and are equipped to pray in faith for members of our church family in their time of need. Call our Care Ministry Director at (270) 683-4200 to inform us of any needed visitation for an anticipated or unexpected hospital stay.

Men’s Ministry

Our men’s ministry motivates men to live a lifestyle committed to God, in service to their family, church, and community. Through bible study and discussion, men are challenged to live virtuously and with purpose, as they grow stronger in their relationship with God.

Baby Dedication

Recognizing that our children belong to God and following the example of Hannah in 1 Samuel 1:23-28, parents make a public commitment to raise and train their children according to God’s Word. Our Pastors pray the prayer of commitment and blessing over parents and children during this joyous ceremony. Ages for dedication are 2 years and younger. Prayer Ministry

Prayer is available at each service at Church Alive. Prayer requests are received at the Welcome Center, or online and through email, and are prayed for during every service and by our church staff. Visit our Welcome Center, or click here to submit a prayer request.

Special Classes

There are several other classes are occasionally made available at Church Alive. We tailor these classes to meet specific needs, and to aid people in life. Here are some of those classes we have offered:

Financial Peace University

Church Alive hosts Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University. This 13 week course has help literally thousands of families get out of debt and have peace in their home. Learn how to handle personal finance from a biblical perspective and in the end you will be able to live and give like no one else.

The Truth Project

Focus on the Family developed this excellent curriculum to teach Christians and non-Christians alike about a holistic Christian worldview. This 12 week course taught by Dr. Del Tackett takers the student through all aspects of life and teaches what the world says and what the Bible says on any given topic.

Weddings

Women’s Ministry

God’s Word empowers women in all walks of life to influence their worlds – at home, on the job, and in the community. Through conferences and seminars, special events, and a variety of activities, women are encouraged to achieve their highest potential in Christ. As a result, they inspire others to do the same.
