Pastor Ford loves to study God’s Word, and Sis. Martha has a passion for praise and worship.They have faithfully served the Lord together in the ministry for over 33 years. They have evangelized in numerous states as well as overseas, but for 26 years they have pastored this congregation. It is their desire for us to truly be Christ-centered in everything we do. They have often said, “We’ll take the credit for the messes, but we’ll give Jesus the glory for anything good that’s accomplished.”
Bro. and Sis. Ford were blessed by the Lord with two sons, Chris and Derek. Chris is now with Jesus in Heaven, but Derek and his wife, Leslie, are our Youth Pastors. The Ford family cordially invites you to come and be part of the Church Alive Family with them.
Derek and Leslie are the parents of three children, Jude, Amia, and Ella. In addition to being busy parents, they are heavily involved in the ministries of Church Alive. Derek plays drums for our Worship Team, and Leslie is our Worship Leader. But in addition to their other responsibilities Derek and Leslie are the pastors of Souled Out Youth Ministries. When parents have their children in Souled Out they know they are being well cared for while they are being biblically trained in matters that are relevant to their age group.
Derek and Leslie want our youth to have fun, but they also want their hearts to be Souled Out for Christ while they are young. They want parents to know that their children are enjoying themselves, but they are being challenged to develop their own relationship with Christ.
Joe Ford and his wife, Pat, have been members of Church Alive for over 40 years, and for 30 years Joe has been a member of our Church Board. His insightful wisdom is valued by the other Board members. Joe is known as a faithful man to his Lord, his church, his family and to his friends.
Richard Franey is a man who walks with integrity in every area of his life. He is blessed by the Lord with wisdom in business matters, but more importantly he has a desire to please Him in all things. He and his wife, Sheila, have been faithful members of Church Alive for 14 years.
Bob Russell is the newest member of our Church Board. He and Cheryl, his wife, are longtime friends of Church Alive, but in 2011 we welcomed them as members of our church. Bob serves as our CFO in addition to being on our Board. He is a man of integrity who is gifted by God with much wisdom in financial matters, and he is a great asset to church.
Rock Solid Kidz Church meets on Sunday mornings following praise and worship in our main sanctuary. Parents are able to concentrate on the ministry of God’s Word while their children are being ministered to on their own level. Chris and Penny Ash are our Childrens’ Church ministers. Having four sons of their own, Andrew, Matthew, Nathan and Ryan, gives them the ability to teach young children from a unique perspective that is fun, engaging and energetic while helping them to understand the Word of God.
